In India..

When I was discharged from the hospital with the newborn, the staff nurse came to check if the baby is snuggled to the approved infant car seater. We, with my mom were all startled at the very idea of leaving the baby alone with a carseater for we take intense caution in never letting the wobbling tiny head get out of control.
While we were busy trying the best we cud , so the baby is safe , my mom was telling the staff nurse , "In India , we hold the baby over the lap with hands and we dont know any car seater" .
